Through there is no restriction on staying time in Tapkeshwar but it is preferred that you should visit this place between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. On the day of Shivratri one can come to Tapkeshwar Temple to offer water from 12:00 am to until evening.

The distance from ISBT Dehradun to Tapkeshwar is around 10 KM which would take around 30 minutes to reach there.
