हम बात कर रहे हैं मसूरी के पास स्थित ‘लांबी देहर खदान’ के बारे में।

There is no official record and date to when this mine was established and by whom. Blood curdling shriek and disembodied cries can be heard in the dark of night in Lambi Dehar Mine. History of  Lambi Dehar Mines

There is a long history behind Lambi Dehar Mines and its ghosts. There are several ghost stories which are famous among locals around this place. No official record of the establishment of Lambi Dehar Mines, but it is believed that this mine was established by Britishers to extract the valuable ores. People who live around here claim that 50,000 workers used to work in the mine. After few fateful incidents, the workers started dying due to lung disease and other diseases caused by working in the mine. It was in the year 1997 the mining was shut down by the order of Supreme Court. But the disembodied cries, coming from the mine, can be heard around this place.

Lambi Dehar mine is located in an isolated place near Mussoorie. There are some ruined houses and a mine near Lambi Dehar Mine. This place is surrounded by trees and green forests. There are many sightsee locations around this place which are perfect for photography. A lot of people believe that a witch resides in the mine whose cry and shriek can be heard at night. This same witch is believed to be a wife of a mine worker who had died in a tragic accident in the mine. There is also one more story in which a British army officer’s wife had killed her husband with her lover near the Lambi Dehar Mine; the husband, now, is a ghost and wanders around this place at night in search of a truth behind his death. Many accidents had happened near this place and many people had also died mysteriously around Lambi Dehar mines. Locals believe that all these accidents and deaths have happened because of the witch who lives in the mine.

Word of Caution

There is no evidence that all the ghost stories about this place are true or not. But, so many cases of mysterious deaths, accidents and people going missing have been reported around this place. It is always advisable that you should avoid going near this place especially after sunset, it is for your own safety. People who have a taste of paranormal activities and unearthly encounters must visit this place at least once.
